CDAA: B.C. Dental Assistant Wins Aurum Ceramic / Classic Dental Laboratories
National Practitioner Award
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--The Canadian Dental Assistants' Association announced that Mrs. Birgit Gajdos, a Certified Dental Assistant from North Delta, British Columbia, is the recipient of the 2002 Aurum Ceramic / ClassicDental Laboratories National Practitioner Award.
BIrgit was selected for her work in promoting the professionalism of dental assistants and the importance of healthy teeth and gums to the public through the use of the Internet, making her a unique ambassador for her profession. Birgit has developed a personal website that she uses to extend her contact with patients and others in an effort to promote good oral health. She also shared her expertise with the Certified Dental Assistants of Bristish Columbia in developing their web site.
The Canadian Dental Assistants' Association, with over 19,500 members is the largest association of dental care providers in North America. The CDAA's mission is to serve as the voice of dental assistants across Canada and foster opportunities for professional growth.
